Cokelat

Named following the dark confection treasured around the world — chocolate — Indonesian pop group Cokelat produced in Bandung in 1996. The music group would proceed through several roster adjustments in its period, but would continue steadily to discharge albums and build-up a sizable pursuing, regionally speaking. Their initial record, Untuk Bintang — preceded by an appearance on the compilation record — premiered in 2000. Rasa Baru, their second full-length, implemented in 2001 and was reissued in special-edition format a calendar year afterwards. In 2003 and 2004 their result was continuous, including two studio room albums — Segitiga in 2003 and Dari Hati in 2004 — plus they came out in the 2004 Ian Antono tribute record. In 2006 Cokelat released the best testament to a band’s reputation, the best-of compilation in 2006, entitled Tak Pernah Padam.
