Codó was an extremely gifted self-taught violão (acoustic guitar) participant. His genuine skill, sharpened by many years of gafieira playing, was seriously affected by jazz and he was an achieved improviser. As an indicator of his insufficient articulation, he just found record six albums, which continued to be as classics from the instrumental violão. His 1st album was documented when he was 50. His 1st structure was “Minha Primeira Valsa” (1930).
