Crafting elegant lounge pop that harks back again to ‘60s-era James Relationship movie themes and dark Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra duets, Codeine Velvet Golf club features Scottish singer Lou Hickey and singer/multi-instrumentalist Jon Lawler, better referred to as the founder from the Fratellis. The duo created when Lawler announced he would go on a single project following the Fratellis completed touring to get their second recording Right here We Stand. Hickey, a vocalist at among Britain’s largest burlesque night clubs, received a give from your Scottish Arts Council to create an recording; Lawler’s wife, a dancer in the golf club, recommended Hickey collaborate with him.
