Coasting created in Brooklyn, NY in ’09 2009, a collaboration between Fiona Campbell (a fresh Zealand transplant and former person in the Coolies) and Madison Farmer, whose grimy, bleary-eyed surf-style guitars, murky vocals, and primeval pop sensibilities provide a nod to indie pop functions like Best Coastline, Brilliant Colors, as well as the Drums. Coasting’s debut 7″ solitary was released within the D.C.-centered label M’Lady’s Records this year 2010. A cassette EP on Sixteen Tambourines and a few even more 7″ singles (one via Group Tightener and another via Atelier Ciseaux) had been slated for launch later that yr.
