Australian singer/songwriter Cloves produced her debut having a smoky sound similar to Lana Del Rey and Adele. Given birth to Kaity Dunstan in Melbourne, Cloves began singing in public areas at age 12, carrying out in dive pubs with her big sister and old bandmates. Belying her age group, her tone of voice added a gravity and old-soul experience to her music; she cited Amy Winehouse, Etta Wayne, and Fiona Apple as main affects. Choosing her stage name after a vacation to Bali, Cloves documented her debut materials with suppliers Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey, Sia, Rihanna) and High Cooper (Tom Odell, Mumford & Sons). Her 1st EP, XIII, premiered in 2016 and presented her minimalist acoustic stylings woven beneath her wealthy voice. That 12 months, her track “REMEMBER About Me” was also presented around the soundtrack towards the film Me Before You. She adopted her EP with “Better Right now,” the 1st solitary from her debut recording, which added pounding drums to her typical downtempo delivery.
