Clogs

Comprising four classically trained music artists (Bryce Dessner, Padma Newsome, Rachael Elliott, and Thomas Kozumplik), the Clogs are an avant-garde chamber ensemble whose functions encompass an array of designs, including (however, not limited by) jazz, post-rock, and chamber music. They fulfilled in the past due ’90s on the Yale College of Music, where Newsome, originally hailing in the School of Adelaide in Australia, was learning on the Fulbright scholarship. Sketching from affects as disparate as romanticism, minimalism, indie rock and roll, and traditional Indian folk music, the Clogs released their initial album, Thom’s PARTICULAR DATE, in 2001 and implemented it up with Lullaby for Sue in 2003. These were awarded a particular Commissioning Award in the Country wide Endowment for the Arts and Chamber Music America that calendar year, offering the group an opportunity to tour THE UNITED STATES in 2004. Their third work, Stick Music, premiered immediately after that, plus they toured THE UNITED STATES as well as the U.K. using the Books in 2005. Their 4th discharge, The Lantern, premiered in 2006, accompanied by Creatures Within the Garden of Female Walton in early 2010.
