Clockwork Orange

Biography

A favorite for the Detroit teenager club scene from the mid-1960s, Clockwork Orange comprised singer/bassist Dann Florek, keyboardist Chuck Vreeland and drummer Rob Nulvaney. Originally dubbed the Downriver Spirit Task, the trio shaped circa 1966 within the suburban Level Rock region, its people all still in senior high school; a cover music group noted primarily because of its convincing renditions of current United kingdom Invasion and R&B strikes, Clockwork Orange released no known materials during a short career which finished around 1968, although demonstration tapes are rumored to can be found. A fascinating footnote towards the Detroit rock and roll background of the period, Florek later continued to become noted television personality actor, with continuing jobs on series including L.A. Rules and Rules & Order.
