Clive Burrows

Clive Burrows is usually a part of a generation of players who succeeded as saxmen in the shadow — and for a while in the heart — from the English beat boom as well as the English invasion. His early gigs on sax had been with such organizations as the Wes Minster Five (where he crossed pathways with vocalist/keyboard participant Zoot Cash) and Zoot Money’s Big Move Band. He also co-founded the Ian Parrot Quintet in London. Among his early clothes, most especially the best Roll Music group, he performed r&b a lot more than jazz, but ultimately he gravitated back again toward his 1st love, founding the brand new Jazz Orchestra in 1965. He later on remaining the group — that was bought out by Neil Ardley — for the Alan Cost Arranged, where he remained for just two years, and the Gene Washington Music group, where he performed baritone sax and offered as the group’s arranger. Because the 1980’s, Burrows offers owned and managed his own sound production company.
