Biography

Led by Colin Cooper, the former frontman from the R&B unit the Hipster Picture, the Stafford, England-based Climax Chicago Blues Group were among the leading lighting of the past due-’60s blues increase. A sextet also made up of guitarists Derek Holt and Peter Haycock, keyboardist Arthur Timber, bassist Richard Jones, and drummer George Newsome, the group debuted in 1969 using a self-titled work recalling the task of John Mayall. Before the discharge of 1969’s Has On, Jones still left the group, prompting Holt to go to bass.
