Home / Biography / Client

Released as an anonymous duo, Client had been simply referred to as Client A and Client B if they became the very first signings to Andy Fletcher’s (of Depeche Setting fame) Toast Hawaii label. Their initial single, “Cost of Appreciate,” mimicked the robotic, bloodless vibe from the ’80s period supported by an intensely catchy melody. Another single, “Stone Machine,” attempted a much less pop-oriented groove that centered on the seedier aspect of the persona. Throughout 2003 the group performed live at several select schedules in European countries while also DJing traditional electro monitors at various night clubs around the U.K. In Sept of 2004 the duo came back with City. Another member, Customer E, became a member of for the 3rd record, Heartland. The record also marked a big change of label, since it premiered by Metropolis. Power implemented in 2014 with a fresh lineup featuring Customer A (uncovered as Kate Holmes) and Customer N (Nicole Thomas).
