Clepsydra

The Swiss neo-progressive band Clepsydra continues to be in comparison to such artists as Stage Ahead and Deyss throughout their career. Merging intense symphonic passages with quieter key pad sections, Clepsydra hasn’t been noted for his or her originality, but is rolling out over time to audio quite near neo-prog legends Marillion. Clepsydra offers their roots in the all-instrumental music group Delta Prophecy, produced in 1989 by Philip Hubert (keyboards), Lele Hofmann (electric guitar), Andy Thommen (bass), and Pietro Duca (drums). After looking for a business lead vocalist, the group added Aluisio Maggini on vocals in January 1990 and renamed themselves Clepsydra. Before ever using live being a music group, Clepsydra released their initial record, Hologram (1991). Divided between instrumental parts and music with vocals, the record was regular neo-progressive fare. In Dec of that calendar year, the group performed their first concert. In Dec 1993 the music group released the Compact disc single, “Journey Man,” implemented in 1994 by their second record, Even more Grains of Fine sand. A concept record about love, Even more Grains of Fine sand marked a convert towards slightly more technical material. Doubts (1997) demonstrated the music group carrying on to expand their music and getting tighter as an organization.
