This Canadian and Scottish duo comprised Clea McIlraith (guitar/vocals) and Cinders McLeod (b. Toronto, Ontario, Canada; dual bass/vocals). They performed what had been nearly a cappella compositions (most obvious on ‘Waves’) with sombre and upset lyrics, documenting the manipulation of ladies in the house and in the task place. The impressive usage of McLeod’s dual bass which accentuated the effect from the duo’s harmonies, designated the album like a critics preferred. The mini-album Beyond Our Means, that was focused on the International Income For Housework Marketing campaign, found the right house on Billy Bragg’s re-activated Power label. Located in Glasgow, McLeod continued to become cartoonist and publication illustrator.
