Biography

This prolific arranger and orchestrator moved from Europe to america in 1959 and began a link using the Verve label, where his arrangements were featured on albums by Frank Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim (1967’s Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim — the to begin two collaborative albums from the pair), Astrud Gilberto, Expenses Evans, Wes Montgomery, Stan Getz, Cal Tjader, along with other leading artists. Having caused maker Creed Taylor on several Verve albums through the ’60s, Ogerman continuing his collaboration with Taylor following a establishment from the A&M-affiliated CTI label, organizing albums including Jobim’s traditional Influx, released in 1967 as just the second recording beneath the CTI imprint.
