Cláudio Zoli

Inspired by Marvin Gaye and Tim Maia, Cláudio Zoli began to sing and enjoy the classical guitar being a boy. At 17, he joined up with his idol Cassiano’s music group. In 1982, Zoli produced the Banda Brylho. Zoli’s structure “A Noite Perform Prazer,” with noticeable George Benson affects in his simultaneous vocalizations — using the also Benson-like electric guitar phrasing — was the band’s big strike. Using the group’s dissolution 3 years afterwards, Zoli released his first single record in 1986, Livre Em fun??o de Viver. In 1989, Marina Lima documented “À Francesa” (Zoli/Antônio Cícero), which became a nationwide strike. Zoli also was documented by Elba Ramalho (“Felicidade Urgente”). In 1993, he previously a stint with Ritchie and Vinícius Cantuária on the 1993 record, Tigres de Bengala. After eight years from the studios, he documented the single Ferias in 1999, a calmer and intimate album using the strike “Zoli Present.” With soul-related Brazilian performers Potential de Castro, Bukassa, Jairzinho Oliveira, Wilson Simoninha, Tutti Baê, Classe, Silvania Mello, as well as the Billy Soul Music group, he performed in São Paulo’s 2001 Festival European union Soul Brasileiro. In 2001, he released a fresh album, made by Simoninha.
