Best Brazilian drummer Claudio Slon performed using the Walter Wanderley Trio and Sergio Mendes’ Brazil ’66 through the ’60s, and appeared in many Brazilian periods overseen by Creed Taylor for the Verve label, including such label spotlights as A PARTICULAR Smile, A PARTICULAR Sadness by Astrud Gilberto, Influx by Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Samba ’68 by Marcos Valle. Blessed in Brazil, Slon documented with several groupings from an early on age, and gained a country-wide jazz critics’ poll while still an adolescent. He performed in the Sao Paulo Philharmonic for quite some time aswell, but left the united states for NY to become listed on the Walter Wanderley Trio.
