Claudia Barainsky

Claudia Barainsky is a German soprano. Elevated in Berlin, she went to the University from the Arts, learning with Ingrid Figur, and participated in the professional classes of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Aribert Reimann. She performed at many celebrations, including the Might Celebration in Wiesbaden, the Berlin Celebration, the Schubertiade in Kuhmo, as well as the International Celebration of Young Performers in Davos. She produced her stage debut as Konstanze in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail, and she sang Berg’s Lulu and Reimann’s Melusine on the Semperoper Dresden. She’s also sung the assignments of Sophie in Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, Musetta in Puccini’s La bohème, Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, the First Rose Gal in Wagner’s Parsifal, and Waldvogel in Siegfried on the Bayreuth Celebration. Barainsky in addition has sung on the Staatsoper Stuttgart, the Staatsoper in Munich, the Komische Oper in Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, as well as the Oper Frankfurt. She actually is in demand being a concert vocalist, executing soprano parts in Handel’s oratorios and symphonies and orchestral music by Beethoven and Mahler, aswell as contemporary vocal functions by Schoenberg, Webern, Berg, Maderna, Henze, and Feldman.
