Clarence Profit

An extremely talented golf swing pianist, Clarence Income passed away right before the bop era officially started so one will not know for certain how he’d possess adjusted his design during the up coming few years. Income started playing piano extremely early, at age three, so that as an adolescent he was playing appropriately with a number of regional organizations including his personal band. He 1st recorded using the Washboard Serenaders during 1930-31 and spent period leading rings in Antigua (in the Western Indies) and Bermuda for a couple of years. After time for NY in 1936, he shaped his personal trio, playing frequently in NY area night clubs. During 1939-40 Income recorded along with his regular group (offering either Billy Moore or Jimmy Shirley on acoustic guitar and bassist Ben Dark brown), displaying a sophisticated swing design and a little bit of stride. The co-composer (with Edgar Sampson) of “Lullaby In Tempo,” Clarence Profit’s early death has resulted in him being relatively obscure in jazz background books although he was graded quite high during his life time.
