Clare & the Reasons

Clare Muldaur, the girl of musician Geoff Muldaur, established herself seeing that an idiosyncratic indie singer/songwriter before she officially joined up with forces with the reason why, releasing two single albums, Sweetheart and Bentley Group, in 2002 and 2003, respectively. She teamed up with her hubby, Olivier Manchon (both fulfilled when Muldaur was learning jazz composition on the Berklee University of Music), bassist Alan Hampton, cellist Christopher Hoffman, violist Beth Meyers, and drummer Greg Ritchie to create Clare & the reason why in 2005. Multi-instrumentalist Bob Hart was brought in to the fold immediately after the group completed documenting its debut full-length. That record, The Movie, strike shops in 2007; offering cameos by Sufjan Stevens and Truck Dyke Parks, the record was made up of the type of quirky, jazzy indie pop that welcomed evaluations to performers like Lullaby Baxter and St. Vincent. By enough time their second record, Arrow, implemented in Oct 2009, the group got consolidated across the primary of Muldaur, Manchon, and Hart. The music group kept busy the next year touring European countries as well as the U.S. with Parks and My Brightest Gemstone (whose Shara Worden got appeared being a visitor on Arrow). In 2011, Clare & the reason why relocated to Berlin for eight a few months to create and record their following record; named following the style of moped they utilized to explore the town, KR-51 found its way to July of 2012.
