C’Kans

A dance-inspiring mixture of zouk, compas, cadence, salsa and soukous has made C’Kans perhaps one of the most thrilling young rings in the French Western world Indies. Initially offering vocalists Beatrie Poulot, Marc Chery and Thierry Martheley, C’Kans released only 1 self-produced record before Chery and Martheley departed searching for solo professions. Recruiting second vocalist Francois Kichensammy, bass participant Mike Clinton and keyboardist Thierry Gallion, Poulot were able to keep the music group heading. They released their second record, En Nou Kontinie in 1996. Their third record, Toujou O Best, followed 2 yrs later.
