Biography

If three’s a charm, than Toby Ryan and Robby Pardlo of City High will need to have known immediately that their group was total if they were introduced to 18-year-old rapper and singer Claudette Ortiz. The hip-hop/R&B group was originally designed to be considered a two-man group, until Wyclef Jean asked Ortiz to become listed on the group. The three youthful rappers (all hailing from Willingboro, NJ) possess all dabbled in performing and generating in addition with their songwriting and rapping skills. The group released their 1st recording, the self-titled Town Large, on Booga Cellar/Interscope Information in 2001. Robby Pardlo, the very first person in the group, also has the piano, writes lyrics, and arranges tracks. City Great was the initial group to become agreed upon to the Booga Cellar record label — a jv with Interscope Information. Ryan Toby made an appearance in the film Sister Work 2 when he was eight yrs . old, and his creating credits consist of Will Smith’s strike “Miami.” Their tracks generally have deep, provocative lyrics about everyday conditions that many teens encounter. The rap trio had written and co-produced the majority of their debut record.
