Another project in the prolific Fred Thomas, City Middle took his music within an atmospheric, often digital direction more similar to Atlas Sound or Panda Keep compared to the flawlessly organised songs of Sunday Looks Good if you ask me and his single work. Acquiring the project’s name in the “city middle” signs within many European metropolitan areas, Thomas began documenting as City Middle during Saturday Appears Great to Me’s post -Fill up Up the area hiatus, posting music over the project’s blog page and issuing CD-Rs and cassettes on brands like Invisible Friend and Green Information & Tapes in early 2008. Thomas documented a full-length, self-titled Town Center recording for Type Information before Ryan Howard produced the task a duo; the recording premiered in springtime 2009. After releaseing EPs for Troubleman Information and M’Lady’s Record, the set released their second full-length, Redeemer, through K Information in 2011.
