Citizens’ Utilities

While something from the fertile Seattle music picture, Citizens’ Utilities favored a very much rootsier sound than their grunge contemporaries; a quartet made up of guitarists Joshua Medaris and Chad Shaver, bassist Expenses Herzog and drummer Eric Akre (all members added vocals), the group debuted in 1996 with Dropped and Foundered, released for the Mute label. Maker Steve Berlin helmed the follow-up, FORGET ABOUT Medication, released a yr later.
