Biography

Shaped in Gothenburg, Sweden, psychedelic rock and roll quintet Citizen Parrot — vocalist Simon Ohlsson, guitarist Andreas Nilsson, drummer Anders Gustafsson, bassist Jukka Rintamaki, and keyboardist Jon Olmeskog — emerged together as several art-school students in the past due ’90s. The music group (also going beneath the name Silverbullit in European countries) released its debut in 1997 on Swedish indie label Great Tone. In Apr 2002, it released Resident Parrot on NONS/MNW in European countries and Stinky Information within the U.S. Also in 2002, the music group was nominated for Greatest Rock Work at Sweden’s edition from the U.S. Grammy Honours. Within its U.S. tour exactly the same season, the music group played on the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX.
