Despite emigrating to america in 1975, Peru-born guitarist Ciro Hurtado has stayed among the finest performers of traditional Latin music. A founding member, musical movie director and manufacturer of Huayucaltia, Hurtado provides balanced use the group with single preformances and recordings.AS THE L.A. Situations known as him, “an elegantly refined guitarist, who is able to evoke flourishes of flamenco or jazzy staccato works with consummate simplicity”, Musician journal stated that he “combines the dexterity and beauty from the Spanish classicists using the passionate imperative of SOUTH USA”. After learning acoustic guitar with Augusto Portugal in Peru, Hurtado sharpened his abilities at your guitar Institute Of Technology in LA. In the past due-1980s, Hurtado performed and documented with Strunz And Farah. Hurtado’s 1st two single albums had been released within the ROM label. The Magic Hour, released in 1991, presented musical adaptations from the poetry of Latin American poets, including Nicholas Guillen, Carlos Jose Guadamuz and Adolfo Marti Fuente, sung by Hurtado’s wife and longtime collaborator Cindy Harding. Hurtado’s second recording, Tales FROM YOUR HOME, released in 1993, was incredibly eclectic with music group arrangements, offering L.A. program players, two single pieces along with a tune, “Magic Mist,” offering Harding’s vocals. Released in 1995 by himself label, Guitarra, Hurtado’s third recording, showcased his single acoustic guitar playing and ranged from unique music to reworkings of Peruvian folk tracks and a bit by J.S. Bach.
