Cinema Red and Blue

Cinema Crimson and Blue certainly are a part project of people from the U.K. indie rock and roll heroes Comet Gain, U.S. chamber poppers the Ladybug Transistor, and the brand new York music group Crystal Stilts. In August of 2009, Comet Gain vocalist/guitarist David Christian and keyboardist Anne Laure Guillain flew to N.Con.C. to record with bassist Andy Adler and guitarist JB Townsend of Crystal Stilts, Kyle Forester, who performed in both Stilts and Ladybug Transistor, and previous Comet Gain/current Soft Town drummer Phil Sutton. The weeklong program occurred at Marlborough Farms, the Brooklyn studio operate by mind Ladybug Gary Olson. The outcomes were a variety of Christian-penned originals and addresses of tracks by Deceased Moon, Vic Godard, the Chills, as well as the Len Shiny Combo. As the U.K. contingent was around, the band performed a display at New York’s Wedding cake Store that was by all accounts wonderfully ramshackle. The group’s self-titled recording premiered by NY label What’s Your Rupture? in Sept of 2010.
