Cindy Morgan


Cindy Morgan, given birth to and raised in rural East Tennessee, has combined pop/R&B with gospel during the period of 3 albums and two CHR number 1 singles, “ALLOW IT Be Like” and “It’s Gonna End up being Heaven.” Her debut full-length, TRUE TO LIFE, gained her six Dove award nominations in 1993, including New Musician of the entire year, Feminine Vocalist of the entire year, Contemporary Record of the entire year, Contemporary Recorded Melody of the entire year, and Documented Music Packaging of the entire year; she gained in the brand new Musician category. Released in 1993, Cause to reside cemented her popularity using a nomination for another Dove award as Feminine Vocalist of the entire year. Her third record, Beneath the Waterfall, made an appearance in 1994.

1 Currently living in Florida and writing a book about her experiences during the making of Caddyshack (1980).
2 Is legally blind. In the famous diving scene in Caddyshack (1980), she had to climb the diving board ladder and walk to the end with virtually no idea of where she was on the board.
3 She used the name Cindy Morgan, taken from a story Cindy read about Morgan le Fay (half-sister of King Arthur) when she was twelve years old.
4 Was accepted to the Illinois Institute of Technology, with an interest in Mechanical Engineering. But four years in Mother Theodore Guerin High School for Girls (now Guerin Prep) caused Cindy to re-think attending a primarily male college, and she earned degrees in Communications and English at Northern Illinois University.
