Cindy McTee

Cindy McTee can be an American composer, known specifically for her eclectic orchestral music and works for concert music group. She pursued music research at Pacific Lutheran University or college, the Academy of Music in Krakow, Yale University or college, and the University or college of Iowa. Among her educators had been Jacob Druckman and Krzysztof Penderecki. She became a teacher at the College or university of North Tx University of Music in 1984, and retired with emeritus position this year 2010. She actually is the receiver of a fellowship through the Guggenheim Base, a Fulbright fellowship, and a fellowship through the National Endowment from the Arts. She’s won several honours, and her music continues to be performed by main orchestras and rings in america. In 2011, McTee wedded conductor Leonard Slatkin, who documented a Compact disc of her music using the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in the Naxos label.
