Biography
Cida Moreyra’s profession began in 1977, employed in musicals in São Paulo. In 1980, she staged her 1st solo display, Summertime, where she documented her 1st live recording, the 3rd party LP Summertime (1981). The discharge had traditional American blues and jazz tracks, but additionally brought the vetoed (by censorship) edition of Chico Buarque’s “Geni.” Her special, personal interpretation, deeply affected by theatrical sensibility, is normally enhanced in conferences with the functions of her symbols in dedicated produces like Cida Moreyra Interpreta Brecht (1989, Continental) and Cida Canta Chico (1993, Kuarup). She’s documented six LPs and CDs.
