Chuck Riggs

b. Charles Riggs, 5 August 1951, Westerly, Rhode Isle, USA. Although essentially a self-taught drummer, Riggs do research briefly at music college in his house state. Early within the 70s, he started a long-term association with Scott Hamilton and from midway with the 10 years was located in New York, generally on the urging of Roy Eldridge. Prior to the 70s had been out he previously established his qualifications through shows with Hamilton, Bob Wilber and Benny Goodman. His mainstream orientation continuing with the 80s when he used Ruby Braff, Kenny Davern, Keith Ingham, trumpeter Jon-Erik Kellso, Turn Phillips, Dick Wellstood, and much more spells with Wilber and Hamilton. Within the last mentioned’s quartet he appreciated similarly long-term organizations with John Number, bass participant Phil Flanigan and guitarist Chris Flory. Riggs in addition has played and documented using the Concord All Superstars, the house music group of Concord Information. Similar associations continuing with the 90s along with his quarter-century-plus stint with Hamilton still developing the primary of his profession. A thoughtful, hearing drummer, Riggs performs with subtlety and golf swing as could be noticed on pretty almost some of his many albums with Hamilton.
