Biography
Vocalist Chuck Negron was raised within the Bronx in the 1950s, pursuing his abilities in golf ball — that he was recruited by schools nationwide — and singing, which he explored along with his doo wop group the Rondells. After playing golf ball for Santa Maria, CA’s Hancock University and California Condition University in LA, Negron was prepared to pursue his musical profession. He continued to be in LA, eventually hooking up with fellow performers Cory Wells and Danny Hutton and developing Three Pet dog Evening in 1968. They fulfilled with massive achievement, credit scoring 18 consecutive Best 20 singles, including amount types like “Mama EXPLAINED Not to Arrive,” “Pleasure towards the Globe,” and “Monochrome.” With achievement emerged the trappings from the rock and roll & move lifestyle, which for Negron centered on medications: by enough time Three Pet dog Night divided in 1977, he previously a 2,000-dollar-a-day habit. Staying in the grasp of addiction for nearly 2 decades, Negron lost aside to 126 pounds and attempted 36 rehab applications unsuccessfully. His stay in the Cri-Help middle, however, discovered him really rehabilitated and prepared to perform once again — with a supplementary octave put into his vocal range. Negron restarted his profession by starting for Howie Mandel’s 1994 Atlantic Town show, and the next 12 months he released his debut recording, Am I Still within your Heart. Negron right now divides his time taken between raising his family members, carrying out, lecturing, and dealing with anti-drug businesses like Music artists Assistance System (MAP), MusiCares, and Cri-Help. 1999 noticed the discharge of his biography, Three Doggie Headache, and his second recording, Long Road Back again, the book’s musical counterpart.
