Chuck Israels

Chuck Israels continues to be most widely known for his use the Costs Evans Trio (1961-1966), but he continues to be a significant educator because the 1970s. A sophisticated and supportive bassist, Israels’ initial documenting was the 1958 conference between John Coltrane and Cecil Taylor. He used George Russell’s sextet (1959-1961), was briefly with Eric Dolphy’s music group, and then joined up with Bill Evans. Through the Evans years, Israels also made an appearance on information led by J.J. Johnson, Herbie Hancock, Gary Burton, and Stan Getz. He founded and going the Country wide Jazz Outfit (1973-1978), a high repertory music group that documented two albums for Chiaroscuro. Afterward, Israels was much less active as a new player, but he do record using the Kronos String Quartet (1984) and Rosemary Clooney (1985), furthermore to proceeding an obscure program for Anima (1991).
