Biography

Christine Correa, an Indian-born avant-garde vocalist, has resided within the U.S. since 1979. She’s performed and documented with Steve Lacy, Went Blake, Jeanne Lee, John LaPorta, among others. Her exclusive, long-standing musical romantic relationship with pianist Frank Carlberg is usually recorded on 1993’s Ugly Beauty, 1996’s The Crazy Female, and 2000’s Variants on a Summer time Day time. Correa also documented a duo recording with Third Stream composer Went Blake in 1994, entitled Round About.
