Christian Zacharias

From the 1990s, Christian Zacharias established himself among the leading pianists of his generation, but like a lot of his keyboard colleagues — Ashkenazy and Eschenbach immediately one thinks of — he has generated a parallel career like a conductor. Although Zacharias hasn’t quite accomplished the success for the podium as those two, he offers regularly carried out leading Western and American orchestras while staying active like a recitalist, soloist, and chamber music collaborator. Zacharias offers produced over 50 recordings (mainly like a pianist) for a number of brands, including EMI, MD&G, and EuroArts. Christian Zacharias was created in Jamshedpur, India, on Apr 27, 1950. He started piano lessons at age group seven, but his 1st serious studies had been in the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (1960-1969), where his main instructor was Irene Slavin. In 1969 he joined the Geneva International Piano Competition and received second reward. In 1970 he started a three-year amount of research with Vlado Perlemuter in Paris.
