Chris Leslie

Chris Leslie’s first contact with folk music began in the first ’60s, when he discovered the task from the Watersons and Martin Carthy. Although he was attracted to many tools — and perfected many of them on the virtuoso level as his profession continued — it had been for the fiddle that Leslie 1st recognized himself, in efficiency and in addition on his 1st recording, made out of his older sibling John Leslie in 1976. He worked well inside a duo with Steve Ashley so that as a program musician in to the early ’80s, when he became among the four people of Whippersnapper, including his one-time idol Dave Swarbrick. They worked well together in to the early ’90s, and after their separation he documented with fellow Whippersnapper member Kevin Dempsey. Leslie became a member of Fairport Convention by the end from the 1990s. He in addition has seen some substantial success like a songwriter.
