Chris Lee

Through the early ’90s, North Carolinian indie rock and roll singer/songwriter/writer Chris Lee was an associate from the alt-country group Pine Condition Boys along with a contributor towards the zine Tuba Frenzy. After he transferred to Brooklyn, he produced Mishagas, a folk/improv music group, and composed for the Cable and Spin. At this time Lee was also composing even more heartfelt pop music that didn’t suit the framework of Mishagas; with several solo displays under his belt, he documented his self-titled debut record with House bassist Brad Truax as well as the Silver Sparkle Band’s drummer, Andrew Barker. Misra Information released Chris Lee in middle-2000. Has and Sings Torch’d Music, Charivari Hymns and Oriki Blue made an appearance in springtime 2001.
