Choeur Maha

A twenty-five females ensemble, formed and directed by sound artist and composer, Kathy Kennedy, Choeur Maha performs an uplifting mixture of Japan, Cree, Arabic, Bulgarian, France and British influences. Performing mainly in large, open public, areas, the Montreal-based group sings more than a soundtrack broadcast by open public or personal transmitter and found by portable radios. The ensemble’s eclectic repertoire spans from “middle ages music to Motown.” A creator of Studio room XX, a nonprofit organization specialized in providing females with usage of audio devices, Kennedy shows in the modern dance section of Concordia School.
