As an associate from the backing music group for Belfast singer/songwriter Duke Particular, percussionist Chip Bailey is well known for employing unconventional equipment — including a parmesan cheese grater and egg whisk combo — to accomplish his distinctive rhythms and noises. After playing in rings part-time for quite some time, Bailey became a far more serious musician following the achievement of Duke Unique and released an recording, Temperance Culture Chronicles, in 2007. He also facilitates drum circles and workshops for universities and corporate workshops through his Rhythmic Connection system.
