Chikita Violenta

Mexican indie rock-band Chikita Violenta shaped when the group met in senior high school in 2000. Luis Arce, Andrés Velasco, Esteban Suarez, and Armando David created their self-titled debut independently in 2003, and recruited maker Dave Newfeld (Damaged Social Picture, Super Furry Pets, Los Campesinos!) for his or her second recording, The Celebrity and Suns Classes. After touring around their home foundation of Mexico Town and performing a western coast tour from the says, the band came back to documenting with Newfeld for his or her third outing, Tre3s, that was finished during the period of a year-and-a-half. The recording premiered in early 2011 on Arts & Crafts, and was followed by displays with Created to Spill, Ra Ra Riot, and programs to try out South by Southwest.
