Chicago Mass Choir

The Chicago Mass Choir was founded in 1988 by Adam C. Chambers, who arranged the famous Ecclesiastes Community Choir 17 years previously. The initial Chicago Mass Choir record, Right Now IF YOU WERE TO THINK, implemented in 1991, using the group earning Best New Musician honors on the Gospel Music Brilliance honours; in 1992, “I COULD Go directly to the Rock and roll” — off their second LP Contact Him Up — was called Song of the entire year. The choir acquired among its busiest years in 1994, when the group released a set of albums, I’m Therefore Grafeful and DO NOT Keep Me. Additionally, member Feranda Williamson, who was simply also a co-founder of ECC and have been a soloist for this choir, assumed the function of Chicago Mass Choir’s head. Their albums for the rest of the 10 years included HANG ON, Don’t QUIT (1996) and Maintain YOUR BRAIN on Jesus (1998). Through the 2000s, they released several live recordings, highlighted by Contacting You: Live (2001). The next 10 years brought XV: Live (2011), their 13th record to graph on Billboard’s Best Gospel Albums.
