Chic Gamine

Harmonious having a killer awesome style, Winnipeg- and Montreal-based band Chic Gamine appear to be a ’60s girl group as imagined by Quentin Tarantino. Shaped in 2007, the group had been originally known for his or her exclusive instrumentation with four voices (Andrina Turenne, Alexa Dirks, Annick Bremault, and Ariane Jean) and something drummer (Sacha Doud) providing a lot of the music. Their 2008 self-titled recording gained them a 2009 Juno Award for greatest Roots Recording, and this year 2010 their sophomore LP, Town Town, was nominated in the same category. In 2013, the U.S. compilation Closer curved up remastered and remixed paths from their 1st two albums, while 2014 noticed them enter the holiday nature using the EP Xmas, Vol. 1. Founding member Ariane Jean remaining that same yr and was changed by multi-instrumentalist Benoit Morier. Having a bigger, broader audio, the music group partnered with Montreal maker/engineer Sébastien Blais-Montpetit and released their third recording, Light a Match, in 2015.
