Produced in 1982 by Ray Gelato (b. Ray Keith Irwin, 25 Oct 1961, London, Britain; vocals/saxophone) and Maurice Chevalier (b. Patrice Serapiglia, France; electric guitar/vocals), this vintage jump jive music group began busking over the roads of London. The line-up was quickly extended to add Roger Beaujolais (b. Roger Downham, 22 November 1942, Harrogate, Yorkshire, Britain; vibes/vocals), Clark Kent (dual bass/vocals), and John Piper (d. 2000; drums). Their popularity was firmly set up being a live device, travelling broadly throughout Europe and in addition touring in Japan and THE UNITED STATES. Chevalier left following release from the 1985 debut Live & Jumping, and even though the remaining associates continued touring and documenting the spark had opted from the music group. After disbanding in 1988, Gelato and Beaujolais appreciated probably the most prominent solo professions.
