Cherryholmes

Produced in 2001, bluegrass sextet Cherryholmes spans two generations from the Nashville-via-Arizona-based category of exactly the same name, including father Jere (bass/vocals), mom Sandy Lee (mandolin/vocals), daughters Cia Leigh (banjo/guitar/vocals) and Molly Kate (fiddle/vocals), and sons B.J. (fiddle/vocals) and Neglect (electric guitar/mandolin/vocals). They will have released three albums independently label, Still just a little Rough Across the Sides (2001), Outfitted for Achievement (2002), Bluegrass Vagabonds (2003) and three for the renowned Ricky Skaggs Skaggs Family members label, 2004’s eponymous Cherryholmes, which received a Grammy nomination in 2006, 2007’s Cherryholmes II: Monochrome and 2008’s Cherryholmes III: Don’t Believe. Cherryholmes IV: Common Threads implemented this year 2010. The band’s electrifying concert events frequently feature Irish stage dance, old-time claw hammer banjo music, and also yodeling. The group can be a normal performer on the renowned Grand Ole Opry.
