Che’Nelle Lim’s stylistic versatility could be related to her passion for karaoke, which she started to love as a young child growing up within the Kota Kinabalu village of Sabah, Malaysia. Karaoke helped her complete the culture surprise of her family’s relocation to Perth, Australia, and she required it singing several steps further many years later on by composing and generating some materials of her personal, which she come up with in her house studio. She published some tunes to her MySpace web page, catching the eye of longtime radio programmer and DJ Sir Charles Dixon. The Virgin label, impressed with her capabilities and potential celebrity power, authorized her after Dixon organized contact close to the end of 2005. Points Happen for grounds, released in 2007, presented productions from a varied sponsor of heavyweights — including Wayne Poyser, Sean Garrett, and High Harrison — with each track either created or co-written by Che’Nelle.
