Chencha Berrinches


Latin rock-band Chencha Berrinches (name predicated on Lorenza, aka Chencha, a female from Guanajuato, Mexico) started performing in South Gate, CA, in 1997. The nine-piece ensemble known as their design Mexisca, an assortment of Cumbia/pop, Latin ska, Mexican traditional music, and rock and roll. After their first lead vocalist, Javier Oviedo, made a decision to keep, Chencha Berrinches’ debut record, known as A Lo Que Truje Chencha, premiered.
