Chelo

b. José Oscar Mejías Hernandez, Puerto Rico. Latin pop vocalist Chelo became a member of the rates of internationally effective Puerto Rican performers in the first 00s, when his single debut 360º broke in to the US mainstream graphs in 2006. He started employed in the music market young, registering with reggaeton vocalist Daddy Yankee in his mid-teens like a choreographer. A potential profession in choreography was placed on the sidelines when, in 1998, he became a member of the Puerto Rican son music group Jyve V. The quintet liked some Latin strikes before divorce in the beginning of 2002. Chelo shifted towards the Puerto Rican/Mexican quintet ATM but single ambitions quickly place paid to his regular membership of the group, using the vocalist landing a documenting contract using the Sony subsidiary Norte. Freed from the constraints to be inside a produced pop group, Chelo offered free of charge rein to his musical sensibilities on his debut recording, blending metropolitan, rap and Latin rhythms with an enthusiastic pop sensibility.
