Cheerleadr

Known for his or her aggressive, melodic design of alternative rock and roll, Boston’s Cheerleadr includes vocalist/guitarist Can Claflin, guitarist Graeme Hall, bassist Johnny Fortin, and drummer Phil Mathews. The group created in 1995 and released their 1997 debut recording, Cream of Cheerleadr, towards the acclaim from the Boston Phoenix, World, and Herald, along with the area’s university papers. Their third work, Rock Album, gained heavy university radio airplay, especially within the Northeast, and was also among the most-added albums on CMJ’s Add Graph in its 1st week of launch.
