Cheater Pint

Named to get a beer cup that appears like a complete pint but actually keeps only 12 ounces, Boston-based foursome Cheater Pint performs full-bodied, energetic punk rock and roll with a lot of pop hooks, a feeling of humor, and an intermittent willingness to carry a small amount of their soul. (As the name suggests, they’re also incredibly keen on malt drinks.) Led by vocalist and guitarist Lauran O’Neal, Cheater Pint produced their debut in 2000, which same 12 months they released their 1st saving, a three-song EP entitled Kinger. Another EP, Three for Nothing at all, and the one “Three Sizes As well Small” had been released in 2003, while in 2004 O’Neal and guitarist Tag Simon were joined up with by brand-new bassist Meaghan McLaughlin, that has previously caused the music group Chroma. In 2005, drummer Dan Weddle agreed upon on with Cheater Pint, as well as the music group released another one, “Ma, I’m Tryin’.” In 2007, Cheater Pint’s one “Control Freak” started scoring regional airplay in Boston, as well as the music group implemented it up using their first full-length record, Dark Side from the Pint; the record was well received by 3rd party radio retailers in Boston and over the USA, and hit number 2 on the neighborhood charts from the Boston-area music mag The Noise.
