Charlie Hilton

Best known while the frontwoman from the dreamy Portland work Blouse, Charlie Hilton was raised inside a bohemian LA family. Her dad was a musician who had written a new age group Christmas recording; another representation of her hippie upbringing was the Sanskrit name, Palana, that her parents offered her at delivery (Hilton transformed her first name to Charlie when she was 19). She started playing acoustic guitar and writing tracks as a teenager, and shaped Blouse with Patrick Adams and Jacob Family portrait (also of Unfamiliar Mortal Orchestra) this year 2010. Immediately after Blouse’s second recording, Imperium, premiered in 2013, she started writing songs on her behalf solo career. Dealing with Mac pc DeMarco, Woods’ Jarvis Taveniere, and Yeasayer’s Anand Wilder, she documented the music “100 Mil” inside a Brooklyn studio room. For the others of her 2016 debut recording, Palana, she collaborated with Family portrait, whose eclectic creation function helped her route inspirations as diverse as Nico, Mazzy Celebrity, and Marc Bolan.
