Charles Winninger

b. 26 Might 1884, Athens, Wisconsin, USA, d. 27 January 1969, Hand Springs, California, USA. After showing up in vaudeville as a kid person in his family members’s work, Winninger trained on the highway with various businesses prior to making his Broadway musical humor debut within the Yankee Female (1910). He quickly became a favorite figure and made an appearance in various displays, generally revues, and including those made by George M. Cohan, the Shubert Brothers and Florenz Ziegfeld. Winninger was wedded for a long period to volatile musical humor actress Blanche Band.
