Charles Swinnerton Heap

As a kid Heap sang in public areas and later attained a scholarship to review in Leipzig. His instructors included Moscheles, Hauptmann, Richter and Reinicke and Heap also substituted for Reinicke as the organist on the Gewandhaus. In Liverpool he examined with Greatest and would frequently come in concert being a pianist and conductor. Heap inclusively executed the Birmingham Philharmonic Union, Wolverhampton Event, North Staffordshire Event, as well as the Birmingham Event Choral Society. Aside from the several concerts that Heap was involved with, he also made up an oratorio, “The Captivity,” and additional choral functions including cantatas and shorter sacred items aswell as. The instrumental functions he made up included concert overtures, key pad music and chamber music. He was both a favorite and influential instructor in his community.
